This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Valfind (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Valfind website and application, why we collect it and what your rights are. Valfind is a web application for identifying and finding valves and for preparing purchase requests. Questions about this policy: info@valfind.com.

1. What we collect

Account data: your email address, username, first and last name, company name and the access profile of your account.
Your work in the application: the request lists you create (names, items, quantities, notes). A record is also kept of each request you send (who sent it, the recipients, the subject, the time and your optional message). The PDF and the files you attach are sent by email and are not stored by us.
Usage data: how many searches and data requests an account makes and when it was last active, and sign-in events with the IP address, to protect the service against misuse.
Contact requests: the details you send us when you ask for access or write to us.

2. Why we use it

to provide the service and keep your lists available on your devices;
to keep the service secure and prevent abuse (sign-in protection and usage limits);
to send service emails: invitations, password resets, your own requests and security notices;
to give you support and to answer your messages.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Cookies

We use only the cookies that the service needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security cookie that protects forms. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and no social media plug-ins on this website.

4. Who can see your data

Valfind staff can see the account data and usage statistics of your account and, when needed for support or security, can open your account. Recipients of a request you send receive the PDF and the message you chose to send. We do not share your data with anyone else, except the service providers below.

5. Service providers

We use the following providers to run Valfind: Render (application and database hosting, in the EU), Cloudflare (network and security), Resend (email delivery) and Netlify (website hosting). They process data only on our behalf and to provide their service.

6. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above. When an account is deleted, its lists and history are removed.

7. Security

Connections to Valfind are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored in hashed form, sign-in attempts are limited and access to the systems is restricted to the people who need it.

8. Your rights

You may ask us for access to your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy of it. Write to info@valfind.com from the email address of your account. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
